Do you have a Clean Routine? #LetsTalkBums

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cottonelle.

Do you have a clean routine? To tell you the truth, I didn’t have one or even think about one until just recently. No, I’m not talking about a house type clean routine. Nope. I’m talking about, well, bums. Yup. Bums.

When my kids were little I would have never just used toilet paper when I was changing their diapers. I wanted their cute little bums to be clean. But really, why wasn’t I doing the same thing for myself? It never dawned on me until I started seeing some funny commercials on TV and then had the opportunity to work on this campaign. We ALL want to be as clean as can be. I don’t think I know anyone who would disagree with me on that one. So why isn’t everyone changing up their clean routine? I know I sure am!

My kids were cracking up at the message on the side of the box when we received some free samples in the mail. All night long all I heard was BUMS! Since then we have had some very funny conversations and jokes about all of our bums. It’s the perfect dinner conversation for my 12 year old son. But when we all talked and thought about it, we realized it was a great idea. Why were we NOT using wipes? Eeeewww gross! After using them, I really do not think my family will ever go back to just regular old toilet paper. It does take some getting used to, but once you get in the habit of the new routine you will not go back to your old ways.

I am in love with the Cottonelle commercials featuring Cherry Healey. I think they are hilarious.

Experiencing is believing. Incorporating cleansing cloths into your bathroom routine may feel weird at first but ultimately, it’s a clean and fresh feeling that leaves you ready for anything.

I am a huge toilet paper snob and have been using Cottonelle forever. It is a joke around my house and with people who know me how particular I am with my toilet paper. DO NOT even think about bringing some cheap one ply stuff into my house. For real. I love that I can easily add these wipes to my family’s daily routine and they will match in all of my bathrooms. Love the simple design.

Now that you have read this post I am pretty sure you are thinking about your own clean routine. Whether you really wanted to or not. Sorry! Seriously, once you think about it, it really does make sense. Are you going to make the change to a new clean routine?

Cottonelle wants to get you talking about your bum and on a better way to clean “down there” by using the Cottonelle Clean Routine. By combining the use of Cottonelle Toilet Paper and Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths, the Cottonelle Clean Routine is a revolutionary way to keep your bum cleaner.

Are you ready? Don’t be shy! Visit to learn more about the Cottonelle Clean Routine and join the clean routine conversation.

#Bagitforward this Fall!

We just came home from a week long camping trip in Maine. I am not much of a “camper”, but my husband and kids love it so I go along for the adventure. The main thing I insist on when we are picking out where to go camping, is flush toilets and showers. This campground that we love to go to has lots of fun activities for the kids, a small restaurant called “the carousel cafe”, and modern bathrooms. There is even a carousel for the kids to ride nightly.

We have been making family memories here for years. It is really great to just unplug for a bit and break out the UNO and board games and stay up late roasting marshmallows on the campfire. We played parents vs kids capture the flag and made huge make your our sundaes each night. It was a fun week. Even a little rain didn’t get us down. We played cards and watched Goosebumps on Netfix in the tent.

This time of year brings another family tradition. Back to school shopping. We get downright giddy around here thinking about picking out new back packs and new school supplies. Chloe is a freak for new pens and pencils. We make a day or night of it with a fun lunch or dinner out after shopping. It is really something we all look forward to.

Unfortunately is it not always a fun time for some families. Shopping for school supplies can put added stress on families trying to make ends meet. I know how hard it can be, I have been there for sure. That’s why I was thrilled to be able to head to Walmart and shop for school supplies to donate to our local school. The Bag It Forward campaign along with Champions for Kids are making it their mission to get school supplies in the hand of all kids everywhere. I am honored to be a part of it.

We still have a couple of weeks left before school starts here in CT. A fun thing we did was to make a Bag It Forward donation bin. We have a pool and we always have friends and family over. Now, when people call and ask what to bring, we tell them to bring school supplies. I mean come on, do we really need another pasta salad? No way! We want school supplies! The kids made the sign and we have it right by our front door. I can’t wait to see how much we collect. We are doing great so far, and we still have a couple of weeks left.

Chloe loved picking out a bag and filling it with school supplies. See more about our shopping trip in my Google+ album. She was so happy to be helping other kids in her community. I seriously think this is such a great way to get your kids excited about helping. Kids love and want to help other kids. If you are going to be out shopping, why not pick up some extra supplies to donate to your child’s school? This time of year you can get so many great deals on schools supplies. Even an extra $5 can make a difference.

New ice cream alert! #meetharvey

I scream, you scream, we all scream for new HOOD ice cream! WooHoo!

Okay, I know that seems a little over the top, but I LOVE ice cream. If you follow me over on Instagram (cherylbudge) you know that I eat lots of ice cream. When my friend Julie from A Year With Mom and Dad invited me to her Hood play date I might have jumped for joy. I might have even did a little happy dance at my desk when I saw the invite. Not only was I going to see a bunch of my local blogging friends, I was going to taste the new Harvey Bar from Hood. What a perfect day!

It was neat to hear fun Hood facts. Did you know that the Harvey Bar was named after Harvey Perley Hood who started his company in 1846 in Charlestown, Massachusetts? Well now you know! After we all chatted about the new Harvey Bar, the kids played with bubbles and we all had some ice cream. YUM. We were so happy that we were in a nice shady spot at Wickham Park. It was about 100 degrees outside. A great day for ice cream!

I am now a fan of the new Harvey Bar. I tried the Vanilla Crisp and was thrilled I could actually taste all the crispy things. Usually when something says “crisp” it is hardly noticeable. Not the case with this bar. I loved it. Chloe loved it. We bought a few packages with the coupons they gave us. I was already a Hood chocolate chip ice cream fan and now I have a new favorite!

Thanks Julie and Hood for the fun afternoon!

Oh, and let’s keep the ice cream happy dance just between us okay?
